First day in Vienna

Ken and I are currently in Vienna and we're having a wonderful time! Right now I'm in the hotel bar enjoying a wine on the house and drinking loads of water because I have yet to find out if I can actually drink the spring water or not and as it's Sunday no store is open to buy any. I've been dehydrated for most of the time already, haha!

We took a flight leaving Bergen in the afternoon so we arrived to Vienna pretty late, only to find out that our luggage was lost. Of course I got quite stressed out as pretty much everything in it is things I love, but the man we talked with was pretty calm and told us it was probably because we had such a short time in Copenhagen where we changes flights, we were only there for 40 minutes. I actually managed to go shopping at the new Victoria's Secret store in those 40 minutes and make it to the next flight before boarding had even started, just saying... Lousy airport! Seeing the new VS store was amazing! It was an accessory store though so they only had panties, bags, perfumes, lotions and so on, but it was so much fun.

VS store, terminal 2 in Copenhagen airport! So excited! Ken's photo:)

This was on the wall:)

Wohoo, what's in here I won't share though, that's private!

Dry air and bad food in the air can make our faces go like this.. Or Ken said something silly, can't tell, haha!

Finally at the hotel, sitting in the lobby, the only place with wifi.  Ken has thankfully manages to fix this though, he's got 3G now and I can hook up to that in the room:)
I did learn that Saturday is an excellent day to travel on, the airports were practically empty. There were no queues anywhere and the flights had plenty of room. As we were traveling with SAS the travel was pleasant as always. All the stores were closed when we arrived. I was using lenses on my eyes and they have to be taken out every night and my lens box and solution stuff was all in my luggage so we had to walk forever in a really dodgy area to try to find a pharmacy that was open 24 hours to buy new stuff. Thank god Ken was with me! After having asked a bunch of people and walking in the cold weather for a while we found it and woman there helped me find what I needed, she was very nice.

In our hotel we bought the room with some sort of package deal or whatever so we get breakfast every morning. I love hotel breakfasts, they are the best. We were up pretty early to eat, the food was great!  Thankfully around 4 o'clock this afternoon our luggage came to the hotel, I was super happy!! Earlier we had been for walks around getting to know the neighborhood. I also had some amazing Austrian food and a really, really weird thing called bubble tea, I'll show pictures in a little bit. I also shopped a few christmas gifts, it was fun! We're right by a shopping street, a shopping centre and a train station, perfect! Can't wait to go there tomorrow when things are actually open. I'm a troubled sleeper so I didn't sleep too much, and most of the time today I've been in yesterdays clothes and makeup so I apologize in advance for my tired face in the photos from the trip so far, haha!

This is bubble tea, you choose which bubble taste you want and they're in the bottom like this. I chose strawberry.

Here's the bubble bar, haha!

And this is what it looks like in the end. I had wild blueberry tea, I didn't like the bubbles at all, they burst in your mouth and it's really weird, Ken liked it though.

Europaplatz

Some park nearby:)
They have these things on the street, you put in 90 cent and you can just take a newspaper. Very trusting country, especially for such a big city!
So far I have a great impression, the people seem very nice, most of them anyway, some seem a little stressed and grumpy. It's beautiful, I can't wait to see more of the city. I'm gonna do a little shopping tomorrow morning and then see Muse in the evening!! I'm so excited! I hope me and Ken won't be separated there as he has a press pass, but I'm sure we'll find each other. I'm kind of hoping I can sneak in with him and get to the front and take some photos. We've just had some junkfood for dinner which is nice, it usually must be had at some point on a trip!

That's what it looks like where I am right now, the waiter just made fun of me for drinking so much water. I'm having a really great time, I'm so excited for the next few days. So happy!

Lots of love:) xoxo

I just ride

Yesterday afternoon I suddenly felt awful. I must have caught a bug or something. It came really quickly, I guess it didn't help that I went out earlier in the day wearing only a dress either. It looked so sunny and warm outside and it was, in the sun. We went the only place in Bergen where it wasn't actually sunny so it was pretty cold after a while. I just thought it was my last opportunity to wear a nice summer dress this year, but I suppose that wasn't very wise, I'm paying for that decision now!

My dad is really interested in street art and knows pretty much everything there is to know about that stuff. Ken is interested too so my dad decided to take us down to an abandoned factory building with huge rooms covered in lots of graffiti and street art. It looked like the perfect location for a horror movie. It got darker and darker the further in we went. Apparently it used to be a paint factory.

My pictures don't even kind of do it justice, it was pretty cool. My dad takes photos of street art and posts it on insragram and he's got like over two thousand followers. Oeyra is his instagram name if you want to find him. Ken has proper photos on his Facebook and you can probably see some of his pictures on is next blog, it'll be posted on Tuesday, you can find his blog here!

My first days here in Norway has been pretty uneventful so far, I seem to have no choice with this silly cold! I'm just in now with my tea trying to be better. I'm loving the song "Ride" by Lana Del Rey right now. She posted the video on YouTube a little while ago.

Lots of love!

To Norway!

Yesterday morning we left Ireland. Mandy was kind and drove us to the airport where we were traveling with SAS to Bergen via Copenhagen. We had a lot of luggage of course and when checking in to a very nice Russian woman, we had a bit of overweight on our luggage and Ken offered straight away to take something out and rearrange our stuff. She answered with a Russian accent "Don't worry about it, we're not Ryanair". It was hilarious! I love SAS.

Saying goodbye to Mandy was so sad, but I think she's coming to visit and we're planing coming back to Ireland to spend time with her on her birthday next month. It was heartbreaking to say goodbye to Evie too, she was really upset.

The flight was a little delayed so we had a delicious smoothie while waiting and I got a new foundation (Rimmel, only 10 euro, but absolutely amazing).

In the two photos above you see Denmark. It's so flat, I don't think there's a single hill in the entire country so everyone cycles, but more about that some other time!

The airport in Copenhagen is amazing, it was a lovely surprise to see that they are opening a Victoria's Secret store there. That's very exciting. I'll make sure always layover in Copenhagen no matter where I go!

Lana Del Rey is signed to NEXT model management and it was very exciting to see her pictures with H&M in the store in Copenhagen. She is on loads of the busses in Dublin too, but I never got a chance to take a photo.

Our second flight was delayed too, but I didn't mind at all, I love that airport. It's got all sorts of shops and several Starbucks shops. They're just as busy as they normally are. It's very beautiful looking too and the people are all nice.

The pictures above are all of the wonderful Copenhagen airport. I have great memories from there. The flight we took to Bergen was very small. There were only two seats on each side of the isle and Ken were too tall, he bumped his head of the roof, it was very funny.

It's always fun traveling with Ken, he always somehow manage to make laugh the entire way. He also inspires me to be a better person, he's really the best.

The pictures above were taken on the flight between Copenhagen and Bergen.

My mum came and picked us up from the airport. Here we are with our tons of luggage. It was great to see my mum again, she came straight from work. She was working for a British Pink Floyd tribute band, Brit Floyd. She was leaving almost straight away to see their show and work some more, but we were lucky to catch her on her break and she was very nice to come get us. We went straight to my dad's house where we'll be staying. He had to go too, he's working in Moss I think so he's gone till Thursday afternoon. We have just been relaxing and sleeping last night and today, it's been so nice. We've been tired after the travel and since we had to be up so early to leave for the airport in Dublin I hadn't slept very much.

I saw Jenny later today though. She's my very best friend. We've got a lot of history, it's great having a friend like her. Even though our friendship has been on hold for a while as I've been abroad for over two years it's great that we can pick it up just where we left it. I'm pretty sure no matter how many years I live away from Bergen she'll always be my bff! She was very persistent and even though I was way too tired she dragged me to a shopping centre, Lagunen, for coffee.
Here we are!

The rest of the evening I've been sitting inside watching The Simpsons and eating pizza with my love. That's always fun. It's nice having the house to ourselves, I don't think we've had that since we left our old apartment. I love it!

Pocket thief

Hi!

I'm so hooked on The Simpsons lately. I've been watching it with Ken and it's so much fun, we're just finishing season five now. It's funny how they started the show before I was born and the concept is still fun and cool today. It's been with Ken his entire life because the first ever episode aired the same year he was born so they're the same age.

We're also both playing Simpsons themed Tapped Out which is an iPhone game. It's really cool, you build Springfield and get characters from the show. It looks like the picture bellow these days because it's halloween month.  KJBcast.com did a really great review you can read it here. KJBcast is a great website to follow if you're into gaming. They keep you updated on all gaming related things going on.

In spirit of watching The Simpsons we got Simpsons doughnuts. I usually call them "do nots", but I made an exception.

Ken bought be new socks the other day, you may not think that's worth mentioning, but I love new socks so much. It's just an amazing thing and incredibly comfortable, they were cute too, pink and everything.

As you can see above he gave me the best bag to keep them in too with my all time favorite icon on it. The bag is even prettier than in the picture. He got me lots of socks and a pair of shoes. He is actually the best boyfriend in the world. You can check out his blog here if you want to!

Suki has been extra flirtatious lately.

He was all cute and cuddly and suddenly I realized he was stealing my pocket with his paw! Pocket thief!

Yesterday evening we had dinner and drinks with friends as a good bye and introduction at the same time. An old norwegian friend of mine, Thomas, is here in Dublin for a semester in school. He's a gamer too like Ken's other friends and got a lot in common with them so it was perfect to introduce him to the others and spend time with them before we leave next Tuesday.

From left: Thomas, Ken, me, Kevin, Aisling, Brian and James. Jack was there too, but just as he left I thought of the fact that I wanted a group photo. It's a shame he isn't in it! I had the best time. It was fun seeing Thomas again too.

Here's me and Ken after the dinner in Dun Laoghaire.

I have packed everything again now as I packed way too much the first time. The suitcases are still a bit heavy, I have to weigh them, but I took out so many things. I wish there was no such ting as overweight! I feel like I filled the two suitcases with only 'can't live without' items and I still think it's a little too much. Apart from that I'm very ready to go:)

Today! :)

Hey!

Today has been one of those days where nothing goes quite right. I think it's because we were up too early. Personally I think nothing good happens before 11 am. We spent the night with Ken's beautiful mum, Mandy! You may need to note that name for further reference as I tend see her from time to time. She's lovely!

She needed to be at work quite early so we hitched a ride with her into Dun Laoghaire because the game Borderlands 2 came out today and as a dedicated gamer Ken had pre ordered it and was very excited! When we got there though the delivery of the game was delayed so we had wait for a while. To kill some time we had coffee at Costa Coffee and bagels at the Bagel Factory. We also spontaneously went to see the movie Total Recall and bought me a new dress.

The visuals were great and the effects were well done, but apart from that there was nothing particularly exciting about the movie. I got my pink candy floss though so I was happy:)

We were both so tired and for some reason so cold the entire time we were waiting so it was some long hours, but he got it his game in the end even though they had gotten in only five collectors editions of the game or something. Silly Gamestop!

Later on we were watching The Simpsons and saw Dr. Hibbert with some mustache parallel with his eye brows!! Look!

Hahaha!! It looked so funny!

On another random note I saw on instagram that Example had interviewed a famous Norwegian footballer! Isn't that random?!

Mandy is also moving these days so we had found some of Ken's old things while taking things from the attic. It was so cool to see his old toys and he was reunited with his first and favorite teddy, it was adorable. Snowy is his name:)

This morning my friend Junior left to study in the U.S. So sad to see him leave, he's really wonderful, I wanna wish him the best of luck. He'll be missed!! He's unlike anyone I've ever met, he's just so nice! My heart goes out to his boyfriend, Jack who's back here in Ireland. I can't imagine how it must be for him.

I have to end this blog now before I fall asleep! I'm sure Ken's got even more to say about the day, you can read his side of the story on his blog here

Lots of love xoxo
