First day in Vienna

Ken and I are currently in Vienna and we're having a wonderful time! Right now I'm in the hotel bar enjoying a wine on the house and drinking loads of water because I have yet to find out if I can actually drink the spring water or not and as it's Sunday no store is open to buy any. I've been dehydrated for most of the time already, haha!

We took a flight leaving Bergen in the afternoon so we arrived to Vienna pretty late, only to find out that our luggage was lost. Of course I got quite stressed out as pretty much everything in it is things I love, but the man we talked with was pretty calm and told us it was probably because we had such a short time in Copenhagen where we changes flights, we were only there for 40 minutes. I actually managed to go shopping at the new Victoria's Secret store in those 40 minutes and make it to the next flight before boarding had even started, just saying... Lousy airport! Seeing the new VS store was amazing! It was an accessory store though so they only had panties, bags, perfumes, lotions and so on, but it was so much fun.

VS store, terminal 2 in Copenhagen airport! So excited! Ken's photo:)

This was on the wall:)

Wohoo, what's in here I won't share though, that's private!

Dry air and bad food in the air can make our faces go like this.. Or Ken said something silly, can't tell, haha!

Finally at the hotel, sitting in the lobby, the only place with wifi.  Ken has thankfully manages to fix this though, he's got 3G now and I can hook up to that in the room:)
I did learn that Saturday is an excellent day to travel on, the airports were practically empty. There were no queues anywhere and the flights had plenty of room. As we were traveling with SAS the travel was pleasant as always. All the stores were closed when we arrived. I was using lenses on my eyes and they have to be taken out every night and my lens box and solution stuff was all in my luggage so we had to walk forever in a really dodgy area to try to find a pharmacy that was open 24 hours to buy new stuff. Thank god Ken was with me! After having asked a bunch of people and walking in the cold weather for a while we found it and woman there helped me find what I needed, she was very nice.

In our hotel we bought the room with some sort of package deal or whatever so we get breakfast every morning. I love hotel breakfasts, they are the best. We were up pretty early to eat, the food was great!  Thankfully around 4 o'clock this afternoon our luggage came to the hotel, I was super happy!! Earlier we had been for walks around getting to know the neighborhood. I also had some amazing Austrian food and a really, really weird thing called bubble tea, I'll show pictures in a little bit. I also shopped a few christmas gifts, it was fun! We're right by a shopping street, a shopping centre and a train station, perfect! Can't wait to go there tomorrow when things are actually open. I'm a troubled sleeper so I didn't sleep too much, and most of the time today I've been in yesterdays clothes and makeup so I apologize in advance for my tired face in the photos from the trip so far, haha!

This is bubble tea, you choose which bubble taste you want and they're in the bottom like this. I chose strawberry.

Here's the bubble bar, haha!

And this is what it looks like in the end. I had wild blueberry tea, I didn't like the bubbles at all, they burst in your mouth and it's really weird, Ken liked it though.

Europaplatz

Some park nearby:)
They have these things on the street, you put in 90 cent and you can just take a newspaper. Very trusting country, especially for such a big city!
So far I have a great impression, the people seem very nice, most of them anyway, some seem a little stressed and grumpy. It's beautiful, I can't wait to see more of the city. I'm gonna do a little shopping tomorrow morning and then see Muse in the evening!! I'm so excited! I hope me and Ken won't be separated there as he has a press pass, but I'm sure we'll find each other. I'm kind of hoping I can sneak in with him and get to the front and take some photos. We've just had some junkfood for dinner which is nice, it usually must be had at some point on a trip!

That's what it looks like where I am right now, the waiter just made fun of me for drinking so much water. I'm having a really great time, I'm so excited for the next few days. So happy!

Lots of love:) xoxo

Long time no see

The reason I haven't blogged much lately is because I haven't done much I thought was worth blogging about and partly lack of inspiration. Lately I've spent my days going for long walks and spending time with my lovely friends and family. I really love walking around a lake nearby called Tveitevannet. I've always loved that place and lately Ken has been teaching me how to use our Canon camera which makes the walk even more fun. I love being able to take better photos. Here's some photos from Tveitevannet the other day.

Fall <3

A little flooded!

Handsome duck

Puddle!
We went out to check out this rock bar called Garage and a new place called Apollon that used to be a record shop and while I was away it apparently turned into a bar as well, so you can buy records and go drink at the same time, it's a really cool idea I think! Garage have been around for ever, but I never went before. A lot of famous bands played there before they got famous like Muse and Coldplay.

Ken and me at Garage
Yesterday we went to Ikea with my mum which is always fun. Like I've mentioned before my mum has bought a new place and is moving on Thursday. She was getting a wardrobe, a bed and inspiration for other things she needs.  We also ate of course, it's a must at Ikea! My mum told us the food was on her and that we could go wild and get whatever we wanted and however much we wanted so that's what we did.

This is what I got, it was so delicious. I got blueberry juice too. I couldn't finish it all so I had the bread for later, I love that.
I had this amazing thing, it was salmon lasagne, it was supergood. I've never even heard of that before.

We all went a little wild!

Here's my funny face in the bed section.
We also got to see my mums new apartment. It was really nice, perfect for her I think.

Here we are checking out the view from the bedroom.
Handsome in the attic!

We've been busy lately planing our trip to Vienna. We're going there the 17th to 21st so we're leaving in like four days, I'm so excited!! We are going to see Muse the 19th and Ken just got a press pass for it! He's a very happy bunny. There's so much to see there so it's gonna be hard to choose what to see and do in the few days we're there, I have a few ideas though. Hopefully we can get to see the Spanish Riding School in Vienna it's not too far away from our hotel. I've never been to Austria before so it'll be so much fun!

I love traveling and airports so I'm even looking forward to that part, we have to go via Copenhagen airport one way and Frankfurt airport the other, I don't remember in which order. I think the Victoria's Secret store has opened in Copenhagen airport now so I'm particularly excited about that, it's a very nice airport all together. I've never been to the one on Frankfurt before, but I've heard good things.

Dead And Lovely

Hello you:)

Yesterday I saw the movie 'Nightmare Before Christmas'. It's one of those movies everybody knows, but I've never seen. It was lovely, I can see why so many people love it. The concept of the movie is such a good idea and the way it's made is so impressive, typical Tim Burton. I also adore a good love story so I appreciated Jack and Sally's story a lot. I had heard of the movie before I saw it, but I had no idea it was a musical so that was a pleasant surprise for me, the music was great!

I went for a walk a while ago around a lake nearby and the scenery was so beautiful looking. I didn't bring my good camera, but I captured the best I could with the camera on my iPhone. I just love walking around this lake, no matter where you look it's beautiful. There were lots of ducks in the water greeting us as we were walking by, but it was too dark to see them in photos. I always associate that place with Tom Waits because before I left Bergen two and a half years ago I used to listen to him constantly and always have him on my ears while walking around it.

Snow!

I've had a great few days being mostly at home enjoying time with my grandma and her husband. They stayed here in Bergen longer than expected which I was delighted about. I was happy about staying inside as well, it's getting really cold outside. I snowed a few days ago for the first time this year which is very exciting, but scary because the ground is gonna be slippery and I tend to fall easily and a lot, I'm incredibly clumsy! They had their dog with them who's called Roma. She's a two year old Rottweiler, she's huge, heavy and really easily excited so she's jumps up on me almost knocking me over, it's really funny! My grandma is an amazing cook so I got her to teach me a few things, it was great fun. She taught me to cook a steak and bake bread. The bread is amazing, it tastes so good and I'm excited I can make it now. It's been quiet the last days and it's been really nice. Here's some pictures:)

I'm showing grandma the front camera on my phone

Baking bread, it just looked so pretty!

Bread ready to be put in the oven

Our first snow, it was hard to capture it, but I think I managed!

In town doing a little bit of shopping and following Ken to work

I was cutting my avocado and just kept on cutting through the stone and didn't think about or notice before I was done! I must have superpowers without knowing about it!
Keep warm! Lots of love xoxo

Fall beauty

Yesterday I spent the morning at my mums place. She's got herself a new house and are throwing away lots of things from the house she's been living in and to help her do that she had my aunt fly in from Trondheim. She's not my aunt by blood, but she's just always been my aunt, you know that way? We had a great breakfast together, my mum loves big breakfasts and so do I so it's lots of bread and everything you could possibly have on it, eggs, sausages and bacon. It was great!

I went through some clothes to see if I wanted any and I went through some of my old school books. I found a few great clothes that I liked and kept and while going through my school books I found so much drawings in them I thought I'd show some. I used to be absolutely crazy about horses. I still am of course, but I used to have horses on everything I owned. I forgot to take pictures of the beautiful breakfast and my beautiful aunt unfortunately, but I took some of my old books.

So it started like this, this is from 97 so when I was five. Before I had even started riding, I started when I was six. I had a thing for horses long before I actually got to be around them.

The heart around only the word horse!! Haha

I think I had to draw the different seasons and I put some horses in there too!

We had to make a comic strip! Haha, it just looked so funny!

This one says in the first picture "just rubbish" and the second one says "This is the way we want it"

This is obviously not my drawings in my book, it must have been the thing that happened before frapes!

My drawings evolved a little thankfully! This one was drawn in 04 so I must have been 12.  I can't explain the extremely long legs, it must have been a young horse, haha!

I also liked drawing them in a funny way.
It was so much fun looking through my books, almost every page looked like that, I had forgotten how much I liked to draw! I also read my diary from when I was little and instead of having boys names in hearts I used to have horse names. In my diary it said:
"What is your favorite thing to do: See and ride Rozz.
What is the highlight of your weekend: Brush and spend time with Rozz
What do you look forward to: Ride and pet Rozz"
It was so funny to read!

My grandma and her husband is here for my dads birthday today. It so good to see them. They brought their Rottweiler, Roma, as well. It's nice to have a dog in the house again. They drove here from east in Norway, a place called Telemark. It close to Oslo. I don't get to see them a lot so I'm always very happy when they are here.

My dad is turning 47 today so I made cupcakes for him yesterday. I've made cupcakes before, but only with my friend, Ciara, because she actually can bake. I tried on my own this time and they turned out fine. It was fun and they looked really cute.

I don't think we're celebrating his birthday a lot, but it's very nice being with him on his birthday again as we have been in different countries the last few years and haven't seen each other for any of the holidays or birthdays. I love being here.

I've been out all day today and I just love the fall colours. Every single tree is just so stunning and you feel like you're walking in a fairytale world. It's raining yellow leaves and the ground is full of them too so wherever you see it's so beautiful, especially on such a beautiful sunny day like this! I don't think fall and it's beauty will ever stop amusing me.

Happy birthday dad, I love you

xoxo
